NYC EARLY INTERVENTION

A program for children from birth to three years old who have disabilities or developmental delays, aimed at supporting their growth and helping them reach their maximum potential.

Our Services

Additional in-depth assessments after a child’s initial evaluation regarding concerns over delays in either receptive and/or productive communication skills.

Promoting communication skills and comprehension through play and everyday routines while coaching caregivers to help build their child’s skills in real life situations.

Eligibility Information

Children under age three in New York State with a confirmed disability or a suspected developmental delay in physical, cognitive, communication, social-emotional, or adaptive development are eligible for the Early Intervention Program (EIP).

The program serves children with diagnosed conditions (e.g., Down syndrome, autism) or those showing delays in reaching milestones.
